Rebecca Gayheart

BORN: 8/12/71, Hazard, KY

INDUCTED: 2018, 93-percent majority

Rebecca Gayheart had a supporting role in the 1998 movie comedy Hairshirt. But it's her actual hair that has captured the attention of Hair Fans over several decades. Natural curls have been adjusted and fine-tuned into a wide range of looks, with good thickness often making them especially attractive.

While Gayheart became a star in the 1990s daytime drama Loving, she gained even more attention at that time as "the Noxzema girl" of TV commercials. The curls were long, bouncy and full - but the emphasis on Gayheart's face meant they weren't in view much. Clairol finally gave Gayheart a hair ad in 1995, emphasizing color more than curl.

Gayheart's hair captured Crown Awards for Best Curls in 2007 (pictured) and 2014. She topped fellow Crown winners Alyson Footer and Melina Kanakaredes, even though the curliness was straightened out a bit on top. During those years, Gayheart was best-known as the wife of TV star Eric Dane. When their marriage ended in 2018, Dane changed his hair color. Gayheart didn't have to change a thing - as her great variety of styles endures, with Hair Fans desirous to see it all.
