Eva Mendes trained to be an actress, but her face may be more familiar from modeling. Revlon signed her to a contract promoting lipstick and eye makeup (pictured above). Then in 2011 Procter and Gamble made Mendes a spokesperson for Pantene, noting she has "gorgeous, healthy hair." The corporate world thus confirmed what many Hair Fans had celebrated for years.
Mendes's mane sometimes is on the messy side. But the brown hair is placed at the brink of her eyes, not in them. And that natural unprocessed look is not only what she seems to prefer, but what her supporters appreciate. Mendes told one magazine there's "nothing better" than "a great hair blowout."
While she's best known for longer looks, a style stopping at the shoulders brought Mendes two Crown Awards in 2006: Best New Original Style and Makeover of the Year. Long hair in a supporting role led to a third Crown in 2007 for the movie We Own the Night. Mendes became only the second Hispanic woman to win Crowns - and she stands as proof that "Latin heat" can warm the interests of Hair Fans everywhere.
