Alicia Minshew

BORN: 5/28/74, Plantation, FL

INDUCTED: 2021, Veterans Committee

Alicia Minshew stepped into stardom in 2002, when she replaced Sarah Michelle Geller on the daytime drama All My Children. She played the daughter of Hall of Fame member Susan Lucci, and had long brunette hair which matched Lucci well. Only the most dramatic moments brought Minshew's mane down.

Minshew sometimes makes fun of her natural curliness on social media. But she admitted on Instagram that going straight "doesn't feel like me." Minshew's hair is normally wavy, but she can adjust that with great attractive effectiveness. The curls are captivating to Hair Fans, and often show how strong and healthy both she and her hair are.

Minshew had Super-Hair success in two waves - first as a Top Ten Tresses member for most of 2007, then by reaching the Super-Hair Wars semifinals in 2011. It's a tribute to what Minshew calls "embracing my natural hair texture" - or in this case, Super-natural.
