Houston is famous for heat and humidity, but it also has hairstyles which rise to the climate challenge and look exceptional. Kaitlin Monte has shown that ability since arriving in 2016 to cover news for KRIV-TV. Her looks on-camera can be a bit dramatic, but that's what makes Hair Fans interested.
Monte performed in USO shows for the military after graduating from college. Then she became Miss New York in 2011, followed by second runner-up at Miss America. Monte's mane was longer then, but still thick and often seductively close to collapse.
If Monte has a signature style in Houston, it's what one commenter in Hall of Fame voting called a "high peak sidepart." It requires lifting and spraying the style to arch over the forehead, then land close to the left eye. It's the sort of "high hair" which has a Texas reputation, but with a modern touch that Hair Fans love to admire night after night.
