While she was born in Britain, Dame Olivia Newton-John is considered Australian to many - and a champion to many Hair Fans. During her prime years, outstanding haircuts combined with her charm and sweet singing voice to make her a woman that men especially wanted to see up-close.
Newton-John became a star on Melbourne television as a 15-year-old in the 1960s. She displayed flipped styles of the time, but also showed off bangs which became arguably her best hair feature. They allowed her the security to adjust other parts of her style through the years with little concern about a drop - and allowed her to stay one step ahead of Hair Fans trying to figure out how to defeat them.
Newton-John's life took a serious turn as she battled cancer. But she still could impress with short styles, such as this May 2021 record promotion with Paul Anka. Grease co-star John Travolta once called her "America and the world's #1 sweetheart" - and Newton-John had the Physical strong hair to go with it.
