Alex Witt
BORN: 4/9/61, Pasadena, CA
INDUCTED: 2019, 69-percent majority
Saturdays and Sundays have become a prime time for some Hair Fans, because that's when Alex Witt anchors newscasts on MSNBC. Her hair often has a glamorous appearance, which may be rooted in her background growing up in wealthy areas of southern California. She showed golden-blonde style on TV across the Golden State, before moving to New York.
Witt has trimmed her hair to bob-length at times. But she's primarily kept the same basic look throughout her MSNBC years - an often-layered sidepart reaching to the bust line. The hair is thick enough to support wave, which Witt seems to add. And she's not afraid to place it very close to her right eye - close, but never drooping down too far.
Witt's hair looks impressive even in casual settings, such as this "Global Citizen" festival in 2018. That consistency resulted in her receiving five Crown Award nominations between 2008 and 2015. And it's left "Witt Weekenders" (borrowing her hashtag) wishing she would appear on cable TV more than two days a week.
