HER BEST STYLE: The debate about her hair starts right here. We have to take a stand, and we stand on the longer side. A magazine article about her taught us that these energy-filled, muscular locks had "Botticelli" curl. It made countless Hair Fans want to put their hands through the TV screen to touch it. Yet she used some teasing along with her shoulders and ears (along with some mousse, you think?!) to keep the style in place through almost anything.

HISTORY: If you don't know, you must have spent the last couple of years on another planet. The medium-long style that developed during her time on cable's "Mickey Mouse Club" rocketed to stardom on the teenage soap opera "Felicity." It was the sort of high-quality style that only comes along about once a decade - risky in appearance, incredibly strong in its hold, yet good-looking enough to make some women proud to wear loose curls again.

Then came the summer of 1999 -- and The Cut. When her hair became super-short, her show's ratings dropped like a barber's chair. It proved what we'd suspected all along: a LOT of Hair Fans are out there, in public and private - and they know what they like. Yet she told "In Style"magazine the chopping was good, in part because she now stands straighter. (Apparently a slouching neck raised the shoulders and put more of the long hair behind her back, making it easier to keep in place.)

WHY SHE'S RANKED HERE: You could throw a scarf over the next ten cuts or so, in terms of equal quality. We personally think the cuts above her look a bit more attractive. Her decision to make The Cut didn't help her in our scoring.
