The Ultimate 50

12. Annie Parisse

2005 Update

Annie received a big career break late in 2004, when she was added to the cast of Law and Order as an Assistant District Attorney. Her hair looked fragile, yet as great as ever. But this show has scenes where the attorneys walk outside, amid the skyscraper-fed breezes of Manhattan....

....and while Annie added plenty of bangs to this Ultimate style for protection, a turn to the side in the 30 March episode finally proved too much. Only a few stray strands hit the left eye, but drop they did. In any case, we admire this woman for her versatile yet long-enduring ways with hair.

2004 Update

When we weren't paying attention, Annie became a co-star in the 2003 movie comedy How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. It's available on VHS and DVD, but pictures are scarce online. This one reflects little change in Annie's basic style, although it's pinned back for this scene. We found a photo from the premiere, where Parisse actually showed a hint of bangs on her forehead.

While you might look for Parisse in upcoming movies such as Pagans and National Treasure, it's the daytime drama for which Parisse still is most famous. Is her hair fallen in this vid-cap? It's so dark that we're really not sure. We found it at the collection of an obvious Parisse fan -- the best we've seen anywhere of her great hair in various settings.

2002 Update

Annie took a chance with her acting career in the last year or two -- and it didn't quite turn out the way Hair Fans hoped. Her dream of appearing in a prime-time CBS show fizzled, but she was able to return to "As the World Turns" in a short-term assignment. Thankfully, the great style of years gone by came back with her -- as precarious as ever (our photo is a marvelous example of that), yet as tough and defeat-defying as always.

Even though she doesn't appear much on TV these days, we were delighted to find a good gallery of Parisse's perfection -- both straighter and curled. It's at the Soap News web site.
