The Super-Hair Cup of the Americas began with an open nomination period, followed by a live online draw for qualifying brackets and the two groups. Argentina and Brazil received special invitations, to round out the field. Voting filters were off for the first two rounds of national qualifying tournaments.

In pool play, two matches are held in each group per week; one nation per group will draw a bye. A win is worth two points; a tie worth one. As many as three bonus points can be gained, based on winning percentage -- 1 point for a 200% win, 2 for a 300% win, 3 for a 400% or better win.
