Julia Boorstin

BORN: 12/4/78, Los Angeles, CA

INDUCTED: 2022, Veterans Committee

Julia Boorstin takes credit online for creating the "Disruptor 50" list at CNBC. Yet her hairstyles seldom seem to be disrupted at all, or even capable of it happening. The shoulder-length looks are polished and almnost never pinned, even if she's interviewing corporate executives outdoors in places such as Sun Valley, Idaho.

Boorstin's hair is naturally curly, and she displayed them flawlessly during her early years at CNBC. The curl has become more subtle, but still is an integral part of her styles. It can be shaped and perhaps sprayed to provide muscular hold, rarely looking weak on camera.

Boorstin won the Crown Award for Best Hairstyle in Journalism in 2017-18. Then when "Financial Reporting" was split off as a seperate category, she captured Crowns there in 2020-21. Some Hair Fans actually wondered if Boorstin took a stylist home with her during COVID-19 quarantine. But it may simply be a case of her emulating the title of her first book: When Women Lead.
