Mary Crosby

BORN: 9/14/59, Los Angeles, CA
INDUCTED: 2026, 71-percent majority
Mary Crosby was born into show business fame, as Bing Crosby's daughter. She realized the public presssure to succeed, but felt humbled when a college-age TV comedy flopped. Yet her long lush hair in Brothers and Sisters (above) showed promise for Hair Fans who happened to see it.
Crosby entered television history when her character was revealed as the woman "Who Shot J.R." on the prime-time soap opera Dallas. On a show where stunning hair abounded, Crosby was the long-haired brunette - using balls of curl, teasing and shoulders to keep things under control.
Crosby played a wide range of characters in movies and TV after leaving Dallas. She eventually retired to a southern California ranch, but this 2014 appearance in Beverly Hills showed she still had eye-catching hair in her mid-fifties. The decades of success persuaded Hair Fans to place her along other celebrities here.
