Jennifer Love Hewitt

BORN: 2/21/79, Waco, TX

INDUCTED: 2006, 78-percent majority

In Asia, Jennifer Love Hewitt is known for her pop songs. In the U.S., she's known for acting. And in much of the world, she's become known for her hair -- especially when she brings it down and plays it up a bit. Many Hair Fans seem to delight in Hewitt adding waviness to create a steamy effect. Hewitt has admitted the long look makes her feel "sexier and sultrier."

Hewitt's long hair became popular in the 1990's for the TV series Party of Five and the movie I Know What You Did Last Summer. When she returned to prime-time television in 2005 in Ghost Whisperer, Hair Fans were so impressed by how her bangs handled supernatural encounters that she won the Crown Award in that category. In a March 2005 In Style interview, stylist Robert Hallowell revealed he trimmed the bangs in a subtle wide U-shape.

Hewitt surprised her fans after the first season of Ghost Whisperer by cutting her long hair to neck-length. Voters in a Super-Hair poll actually opposed the change -- yet it was a display of this new style which gained her admission to the Hall of Fame. It was the latest example of how Hewitt can be what Hallowell calls "a good chameleon" with hair. Hair Fans apparently adjusted quickly to the change, and also seem to believe she can wear most any style well.
