Robin Meade
BORN: 4/21/69, New London, OH
INDUCTED: 2021, Veterans Committee
HLN (formerly Headline News) may be the "little brother downstairs" at CNN Center in Atlanta. But Robin Meade has risen to become the channel's best-known news anchor. Over 20 years, she's displayed styles which often give Hair Fans an eye-catching start to the day.
Meade learned good hairstyle preparation with a shorter cut as Miss Ohio 1992. The styles became longer and plusher as Meade worked at TV stations in Ohio and Miami. But she made her biggest splash after arriving at HLN - so strong that she became a finalist for the Hall of Fame in both 2006 and 2008, both times missing induction by one vote.
Meade won two Crown Awards in 2005 - one for Makeover of the Year when she grew out her style, the other for Best Hairstyle in Journalism. The latter marked a rare defeat for fellow Hall member Bonnie Bernstein. Meade repeated the Journalism win in 2007. While skeptics say she adds extensions too often, Meade has shown the hair skills to provide plenty of "Morning Sunshine" to admirers of outstanding styles
