When Donny and his "Osmond Brothers" became singing stars in the early 1970s, sister Marie stayed in the background. But she eventually became "a little bit country" with her own hit songs. And when Marie teamed with Donny for a Friday night ABC variety series in 1976, she stunned Hair Fans by displaying mid-length hair that had a little movement during dance numbers, but overall perfect strength.
Marie Osmond surprised viewers during the life of the series, by switching to a short "China doll" cut with bangs. It could be flipped into a sidepart. The change was every bit as strong as the longer cut, and perhaps even more solid.
Yet for the most part, Osmond has stayed with a mix of longer looks through the years - and many of them have impressed on camera. At times, she's enhanced them with extensions. But Osmond has proven she doesn't have to do that to have eye-catching hair. Her career track record was sufficient to gain her a place in this hall.
