Alicia Silverstone
BORN: 10/4/76, San Francisco, CA
INDUCTED: 2014, 69-percent majority
While many people associate Alicia Silverstone with movies, music videos made her a legend to some Hair Fans. She appeared in three Aerosmith songs in the mid-1990s, such as Cryin' shown above -- displaying natural long blonde hair which faced a series of wild scenes. The hair flowed in all directions, but it was a dream come true for admirers.
Silverstone's most famous movie role was in the 1995 "Valley Girl" comedy Clueless. She displayed a wide range of more polished hairstyles, which were easy for young women to copy on campuses across the U.S. Silverstone has kept a similar approach to hair throughout her acting career. Supporters of her nomination praised it as "sexy.... amazing.... healthy, shiny, soft and silky."
Silverstone spent a year on prime-time TV as the star of Miss Match. While that didn't have long-term success, she continues to be involved in new projects -- and has not felt the need to change her hair strategy at any point. In the year of her induction, Silverstone oversaw a website and projects called "The Kind Life." Hair Fans showed kindness and respect to her in return, by declaring she has "Hall of Fame hair."
