The Ultimate 50
20. Maria Celeste Arrarás
2005 Update
Arrarás remains a Hair Fan favorite -- so much so that she became the first Hispanic woman to win a Crown Award in 2004, as Best Redhead. Exactly how red her hair is from day to day may be in dispute. But we were alerted to this Telemundo vid-cap, showing she's clearly going longer with her locks.
More pictures along this line are waiting at a photo album set up by an obvious Arrarás admirer.

2004 Update
We weren't planning to update defeated styles in 2004 -- but
Arrarás Hair Fans compelled us to do this one. Since she moved to Telemundo, she
seems to appear on the cover of People en Español every other issue -- and with hair so
flowing and risky, we can understand why the style would sell copies. (Or was it the
breakup of her marriage?)
Because she switched networks, the Univsion link below probably doesn't work anymore. But shamefully, you have to dodge a lot of seamy web sites to find a good gallery of this woman. Play it safe and visit what Telemundo has set up -- you will NOT be disappointed.

2002 Update
It seems Arrarás has become more daring with her hair as she's
become a more famous name. But one photo shoot went a hair's-width too far. We
came across the 1/8/2 issue of the Spanish-language magazine TV Notas, where her
style was brushed across the right eye similar to the style in our photo. We took a close
look, and determined the style was in her eye enough to declare it beaten.
We haven't found many galleries with Arrarás pictures. Your best bet to find some may be a web site promoting her Univision show.
