The Hair Fans' Hall of Fame
After weeks of open nominations, the five finalists for the Hall of Fame Class of 2007 were announced live in our chat area 15 July. After about three weeks of voting by Hair Fans, three women received the necessary two-thirds majority -- and we congratulate them on being inducted in the Hall!
HEATHER TESCH -- INDUCTED, 80 PERCENT.
The multiple Crown Award winner becomes the second Weather Channel meteorologist in the Hall of Fame. "Platinum beauty!" declared one supporter.
ANGIE EVERHART -- INDUCTED, 76 PERCENT.
After falling short by only two votes in 2006, the model and reality show host won over enough supporters this time. Her color especially was praised by voters as "gorgeous."
FAITH HILL -- INDUCTED, 76 PERCENT.
The country singer actually has won more Crown Awards than any other woman inducted in this class. She was honored not only for her current long look, but the fully-blonde hair she displayed early in the decade.
MEGAN MARTZ -- 50 PERCENT.
The former Indiana University cheerleader started strongly in her bid to become the Hall's most improbable member. But she faded as the vote totals mounted. "Very good hair," one voter wrote, "but not Super-Hair Hall of Fame worthy."
NICHOLE VRSANSKY -- 31 PERCENT.
The Illinois news anchor has a well-placed and strong bob, but it wasn't impressive enough for our voters. One voter agreed with her own assessment in Super-Hair Q&A, calling it "boring."
VOTE TOTALS: Tesch 35-9; Everhart 34-11; Hill 32-10; Martz 21-21; Vrsansky 22-49.
